about

Panic Pocket are long-term BFFs Sophie (synth + vocals) and Natalie (guitar + vocals).

The London-based duo formed for First Timers at DIY Space in May 2017 - a festival for bands whose members have never played a show. Penning their songs in Natalie’s bedroom between Sex And The City marathons, the duo wooed the crowd with their savagely witty songs about the life-changing magic of female friendship, and the perils of online dating

Since then, Panic Pocket have shared stages with fellow First Timers alumni Charmpit, and other champions of the London DIY scene such as Charla Fantasma and Suggested Friends.

Recorded at home, ‘Don’t Get Me Started’ is a wry look at ‘breadcrumbing’ - a modern dating phenomenon akin to ghosting but somehow more brutal (says Natalie, “It’s when some chump who’s just not that into you leads you on and wastes your time”). It’s also about the righteous anger it incites.

B-side ‘Front Teeth’ is an upbeat track that deals with shaking off a relationship with a consistently miserable and mean partner (says Sophie, “You get worn out trying to make them happy, they rely on dragging you down, and someone ends up writing a cathartic pop song about it.”)

Panic Pocket want you to delete the misleading texts, throw away the creepy poems and take out the trash. Don’t get them started.
